Reporting directly to the City Council, the City Attorney advises the Council, City Manager, elected officials, boards and commissions, and City departments on complex, sensitive, and high-impact matters involving municipal and public law. The position requires exceptional legal expertise, sound judgment, political acumen, and the ability to provide clear, practical counsel while navigating competing interests and a wide range of legal and policy considerations.
